The earning call session contained some new technical details for upcoming products. The first one is the current tape out of new FinFET designs that will be released in 2016.

New designs that have been announced on the Financial Analyst Day 2015 (FAD) to feature FinFET technology are the upcoming FX performance processor based on the “Zen” core and the next generation GPU Radeon Arctic Islands family. The information on the FAD was to complete the “ZEN” design in the end of 2015 but the current tape out means that this step was already finished. The second fact was the confirmation of the “Seattle” ARM based Opteron A1100 processor release in the 2nd half of 2015.
